/When you first walk into this home you feel instantly relaxed. The colors and surroundings are cool, laidback and collected—just like the homeowners themselves. One of the first rooms in the home is the living room. It boasts a white Eames chair, an acrylic coffee table, a rust mohair accent chair, grand piano and a custom Nero Marquina Marble fireplace surround. This space is elevated without feeling too perfect.
Across the hall you’ll see one of our favorite rooms in the house—the study. This room is flooded with light and houses all the home owners treasures they’ve collected together through their travels displayed atop white oak built-ins. There isn’t a better seat in the house to read or play a quiet game of chess, just ask their cat, Flo ;)
Down the hallway, the powder bath is clad in teal Kelly Wearsler wallpaper—because if you know us, you know we love a good wallpapered powder bath. The color and artwork in this space are a nod to the west coast vibes that are carried throughout the home.
The family room, dining room and kitchen are all one open concept space. Each room has it’s own feel but they all tie together perfectly. The family room is laidback and layered with two rugs, two ottomans and a large leather upholstery coffee table. We mixed things up with the sectional configuration and added an open end on the corner. For some color we popped up some artwork above the fireplace, our favorite swivel chair in a cool blue and a sleek leather recliner.
The dining room is a bit more elevated with the smoke glass + brass chandelier and long dining table with 8 Remy Chairs to fit the whole family. The kitchen definitely has more of that contemporary feel with a waterfall island and gorgeous metal + leather counter stools. We soften the space up by adding in a pink antique runner that gets long well with the warm wood tones.
The Master Suite is simple but stylish. Our favorite scene here is the swivel chair paired with that lucite side table + Kelly Wearstler lamp—the silhouettes are an A++. The master bathroom is the perfect warm modern mix with white oak cabinetry and a few brass accents.
