Rose Residence

Well, where do I even begin with Mrs. Cheryl Rose?  When you first meet her, she will greet you with a bright smile, open arms, and a kind heart.  She smells of roses and is always put together from head to fabulously-healed toe. Needless to say, we always look forward to her visits here at Alice Lane! The first time we stepped through Cheryl’s grand French doors we were in awe with the simple beauty that greeted us. Her home was timeless and elegant, just like darling Mrs. Rose. This is when our love affair officially began.

Her space needed to be peaceful, effortless, and uncomplicated.  It was absolutely essential that Cheryl’s home was a refuge, a personal retreat where she could escape from the busy and wild world outside.  We layered textures and calming hues over elegant silhouettes, installed celestial-inspired art and added a little mood lighting to create the ultimate sanctuary.

The Powder Room – oh, the Powder Room!  It is filled with a special gallery of Christopher Marley’s finest work, from Abalone Shells to Mineral Crystals to a mosaic of the most charming bugs you have ever seen!  It is an absolute jewel box for her family and friends to admire – who knew a Powder Room could draw such a crowd!

The Master Bedroom is filled with details that whisper luxe and beauty.  Varying shades of the same color create a restful environment.  To keep the palette interesting, we combined multiple textures to create depth and character.  This Master retreat definitely makes it a little harder to get out of bed in the morning!

Thank you, Cheryl, for graciously letting us into your home and your life.  We no longer just consider you a client – but a lifelong friend.

Pantone Color of the Year: Emerald

Last year Pantone named Tangerine Tango, a reddish orange, Color of the Year, and throughout the year it popped up all over the place - in all of the J.Crew ads, on the upholstery of our favorite new chair. With this in mind, how could you not be excited to know which direction fashion, interiors, design would head this year... And this year's Pantone Color of the Year is... Emerald! In all of it's lovely jewel-toned glory, this luxurious and sophisticated color will bring a sense of renewal, rejuvenation and clarity. Emerald will translate easily in both fashion and home interiors. Make a statement with an emerald velvet sofa or add it in with a more subtle approach - bit by bit with a lamp, pillow, or in your artwork.

A Few of Our Favorite Things

Christmas time is here! The sights, the scents, the sounds! Here are a few of our favorite things that we have in store for this holiday season -   So many wreaths to choose from! Everything from frosted pine to warm and wooly! Add quinoa to the bottoms of your hurricanes to ground your candles. If your worried about your little ones with candles this year, we have some great looking battery operated candles with a timer.

We love these porcelain pinecones, and they could work all year long! Our favorite scent of the season is Frasier Fir. It comes in several sizes and also comes in a diffuser and room spray. Hurry in before they are gone!

These bells are perfect to hang from a tree, from your fireplace garland or just in a bowl on your coffee table.

Party time! These colorful yarn trees are the perfect addition to a colorful themed Christmas.

Add little ornaments or leave them on their own! Wrap your gifts up tight with colorful twine and add an ornament on top to complete the look!
